The Four Immeasurable Wishes of Buddhism
Love: May all mother sentient beings, boundless as the sky, have happiness and  the causes of happiness.
Compassion: May they be liberated from suffering and the causes of suffering.
Bliss: May they never be separated from the happiness which is free from sorrow.
Equanimity: May they rest in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion.
Dri Thubten Dargye Ling is a Tibetan Buddhist dharma centre initiated by His Eminence Garchen
Rinpoche for all Drikung Kagyu disciples in Singapore to learn and practice Dharma in their daily lives.

Since year 2005, masters from Drikung Kagyu had wanted to initiate Dharma teaching activities in
Singapore and have visited Singapore several times since. When H.E. Garchen Rinpoche is in Singapore
on April 2007, he pays a visit to
Bukit Batok residence on 6th May. After the visit, with the feeling that the timing is correct and for the
benefits of all Singapore Drikung Kagyu disciples in mind, H.E.Garchen Rinpoche announced his decision
of forming this centre on
the 9th May. Just before His Eminence left for Hong Kong on the 10th, he personally gave the name
“Dri Thubten Dargye Ling” to Lama Dhondup.

During his visit on the 6th May 2007 to Bukit Batok, H.E. Garchen Rinpoche conducts Lama Chopa Puja,
refuge ceremony and gave a short teaching on Bodhicitta.

H.E Garchen Rinpoche said that, we must always extend our invitation to Chagme Rinpoche to spread
Dharma teachings in Singapore and for him to stay as long as possible and disciples should have
complete faith in Chagme Rinpoche.

H.E Garchen Rinpoche also appointed Lama Dhondup to be the resident Lama in Singapore. He
emphasize that Lama Dhondup is a qualified Lama and is indeed one of the best Lama that Rinpoche
Himself know of. He therefore encouraged the disciples to be harmonious and to attend all practices
conducted by Lama Dhondup.

Lama Dhondup announced H.E Garchen Rinpoche decision to set up this centre under the name of
Dri Thubten Dargye Ling.

On 12th May, a group of Drikung Kagyu disciples gathered at Bukit Batok to discuss the formation of a
new committee.

Participants are encouraged to join in as committee member to serve the centre. On the same evening,
Twenty-one Tara Puja was conducted and merits were dedicated to H.E Garchen Rinpoche. On the
following week, 19th May 2007, a pro-tem committee of eleven members was officially formed. To mark
this auspicious event, Lama Dhondup presented katars to the pro-tem committee members after Guru
Yoga Tsok Offering.

On 3rd August 2007,Dri Thubten Dargye Ling was officially established with the Registrar of Society

On 21st September 2008, Dri Thubten Dargye Ling centre was relocated to Blk 803, KIng George's Ave
#02-250. On this auspicious day, Lama Chopa and smoke offering were conducted by Ven. Dorzin
Dhondup and members of the centre.

During March 2009, Statues consecration and kagyur Dharma texts were arranged and placed on the
Alter. Blessing ceremony was conducted with member of centre leaded by Ven. Dorzin la

H.E Garchen Rinpoche come to Singapore on 28th March 2009 and officially opens his centre on 5th
April 2009.He had given an endowment fund for the centre and encouraged the disciples to be
harmonious and to attend all practices.€
